cPanel Importer
About
LxRoot's cPanel importer tool allows you to migrate a cPanel account to LxRoot. Websites should work exactly as they did on cPanel, though some proprietary cPanel features are not supported and will not be copied across.
Included in Import
- Domains: Primary, Sub, Add-on, and Parked domains.
- Data: All files and databases.
- Email: Accounts (with passwords/data) and forwarders.
- Config: SSL certificates, Cron jobs, and FTP accounts.
- DNS: MX and TXT (SPF) records.
Not Supported
- PostgreSQL databases.
- Wildcard subdomains & Catch-all emails.
- Autoresponders, Calendars, and Contacts.
- Mailman settings & Directory privacy.
- Existing statistics & Custom error pages.
Compatibility
The LxRoot cPanel importer is compatible with full cPanel account backups generated on versions 102 LTS, 104, 106, and 108.
Importing a cPanel backup
Conflict Check
If any domains you are importing already exist in your LxRoot account, you must delete them to proceed with the import.
- Select website importer in the left sidebar.
- Click New import and select cPanel.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to generate a full account backup (.tar.gz) from your cPanel source.
- Click Next step and use Choose file to upload your backup.
- Select Next step again.
- Check for any conflicts; blocking issues will be highlighted in a red modal.
- Select Import now to finish.
