cPanel Importer

About

LxRoot's cPanel importer tool allows you to migrate a cPanel account to LxRoot. Websites should work exactly as they did on cPanel, though some proprietary cPanel features are not supported and will not be copied across.

  • Data: All files and databases.
  • Email: Accounts (with passwords/data) and forwarders.
  • Config: SSL certificates, Cron jobs, and FTP accounts.
  • DNS: MX and TXT (SPF) records.

Not Supported

  • PostgreSQL databases.
  • Wildcard subdomains & Catch-all emails.
  • Autoresponders, Calendars, and Contacts.
  • Mailman settings & Directory privacy.
  • Existing statistics & Custom error pages.
Compatibility

The LxRoot cPanel importer is compatible with full cPanel account backups generated on versions 102 LTS, 104, 106, and 108.

Conflict Check

If any domains you are importing already exist in your LxRoot account, you must delete them to proceed with the import.

  1. Select website importer in the left sidebar.
  2. Click New import and select cPanel.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to generate a full account backup (.tar.gz) from your cPanel source.
  4. Click Next step and use Choose file to upload your backup.
  5. Select Next step again.
  6. Check for any conflicts; blocking issues will be highlighted in a red modal.
  7. Select Import now to finish.
