Domains

Configure domain functionality

In order to be able to add multiple domains to a website and access all domain tools, the following settings must be configured:

• The hosting package must allow 'Number of domain aliases'.
• The hosting package must allow 'Allow DNS zone editor'.
• The hosting package must allow 'Allow Gmail DNS Auto configuration'.

Add an addon, alias or subdomain

1. Open Websites in the left side bar.
2. Select the website you would like to add the domain to.
3. When the website dashboard loads, select Domains in the top navigation.
4. Select Add domain.
5. Select the domain type.

6. Complete the form and click Add to finish.

Change primary domain

The primary domain is the main domain on a website. LxRoot uses the primary domain whenever the website is referenced in the UI.

• On the Website dashboard, click Domains.
• Locate the domain you would like to make primary and select the drop down menu.
• Select Make primary.
• Click Save to finish.

Redirects

1. Open Websites in the left side bar.
2. Select the website you would like to add the redirect to.
3. On the Website dashboard, click Advanced then Redirects.
4. Select Add redirect.
5. Select the redirect status:
   • To specify a permanent redirection, select 301.
   • To specify a temporary redirection, select 302.
6. Select the Domain and Destination URL.
7. Click Add to finish.
