Installing Database Role
Tip
To run the database role on a server, allow port 3306 on your firewall. We recommend installing the Database role on each of your Application servers for optimal performance.
To add a Database role
- Click Servers in the left side bar
- Choose the server that you want to add the role to
- Click Add role and select the Database check box
- Select your preferred database kind and version (MySQL 8.0 - 8.1 or MariaDB 10.0 LTS and 11.00)
Warning
It is not possible to change the database kind at a later date.
- Click Add role to finish
Installation Tip
You can navigate away from the server page while the service is being installed; you will be notified once the installation is completed.
