I Have Not Received My User Invite by Email

User invitations are sent via the system's global mail relay. If an invite hasn't arrived within a few minutes, follow these steps to identify where the communication chain is broken.

1. Local Client Checks

Before troubleshooting the server, ensure the email hasn't been filtered by the recipient's mail provider:

  • Check the Junk/Spam Folder: System-generated emails are often flagged by aggressive filters if the SPF/DKIM records are not fully configured.
  • Search for "LxRoot": Use the search bar in your mail client to look for messages from your control panel's designated sender address.

2. Verify Platform Email Settings

If the email is not in the junk folder, the issue likely lies in the SMTP configuration within your LxRoot dashboard.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Platform.
  2. Scroll down to the System Generated Emails section.
  3. Ensure all SMTP fields (Host, Port, Username, and Password) are correct.
  4. Check for SSL/TLS Mismatches: If you are using port 465, ensure "SSL" is selected. For port 587, ensure "STARTTLS" or similar encryption settings match your provider's requirements.
Pro Tip

If you are using a third-party service like SendGrid or AWS SES, ensure your From Email (located in Settings > Branding) is a verified sender in their platform, otherwise they will reject the outgoing invitation.
